On April 12, an engineering showcase at UBC Okanagan featured innovative projects designed to tackle the pressing threat of climate change.
UBC Engineering is adding 338 new domestic seats across the Vancouver and Okanagan campuses. This will increase opportunities for Canadian students, and increase the number of engineers available to work on the grand, twin challenges of climate change and human inequity.
Dr. Jennifer Baumbusch and Dr. Victoria (Vicky) Bungay from the School of Nursing, and Dr. Ryan Ziels from Civil Engineering are among the faculty partners who've been awarded over $700,000 through the 2023-24 Community-University Engagement Support Fund.
